How your listings end up on Watch Scout
Watch Scout is a search engine built to help buyers discover watches across the Australian market more easily. By bringing inventory into a single index, Watch Scout enhances the buyer experience with features like cross-market search, saved watch lists, and email notifications when specific models become available. We also share buyer sourcing requests directly with dealers to help match buyers with stock. Every listing links straight back to the dealer's website, where the buyer completes their purchase with you.
How your listings get here
Much like Google indexes web pages, Watch Scout indexes publicly available watch listings across the web to create a centralised search index. When a buyer finds your watch on Watch Scout, they click through directly to your listing on your site.
This page explains how the index works and gives you direct control over how individual listings appear.
What you can control
Our dealer dashboard will be up soon, allowing more fine-tuned control over your listings. In the meantime, you can request any of the following using the form below.
- Hide specific listings
- Remove individual watches that are no longer available, reserved, or sold, while keeping the rest of your inventory visible.
- Remove "price drop" badges
- Clear price-reduction tags from your listings if you prefer not to highlight previous price adjustments.
- Ask for a change
- Request corrections to how your watches appear, or suggest tools and features that would make Watch Scout more useful for your business. What gets built next is driven by dealer feedback.
What hiding a listing does
Hiding a listing removes it from Watch Scout search results, brand pages, alerts, and aggregate market statistics.
Before hiding a listing, keep in mind how it affects your visibility:
- Saved items: Buyers who have saved your watch lose their direct route to your site. Buyers typically save watches when they are close to making a purchase.
- Saved search alerts: When a buyer sets an alert (e.g., a Rolex Submariner in Sydney), Watch Scout notifies them when a matching watch appears. Hidden listings are excluded from these alerts.
- Market comparisons: When buyers compare the same reference across multiple Australian dealers, hidden listings are excluded from the comparison set.
Hiding is specific to individual listings and is fully reversible at any time.

- Does this cost anything?

- How do I report an error or sold watch?
- Use the form below with the watch title or page link. Out-of-date stock status is the most common edit we handle, and updates are processed quickly.
- Does hiding a listing on Watch Scout affect anything else?
- No. Watch Scout is entirely independent. Actions taken here only affect your visibility on Watch Scout and will not impact your website's primary SEO, Google rankings, or other sales channels.
