No. Every watch on Watch Scout is listed by an independent dealer. When you find a watch you want, you're connected directly with the dealer who holds it. The transaction happens between you and them.

How often is inventory updated?

We sync with our dealers continuously throughout the day. That said, the pre-owned market moves fast - if a watch catches your eye, don't sit on it.

Are the dealers on Watch Scout reputable?

We only list watches from independent dealers we've reviewed and chosen to work with. We don't open the platform to just anyone. That said, we'd always encourage you to do your own due diligence too - ask questions, check their Google reviews and broader online reputation, and take your time before committing to a purchase.

What happens when I click "View at Dealer"?

Accepted Answer

You'll leave Watch Scout and land directly on the dealer's own website or listing page. From there, contact the dealer directly - by phone, email, or their enquiry form - to ask about the watch, arrange a viewing, or discuss a purchase. We're the bridge that gets you there; the relationship from that point is between you and the dealer.

Can I view a watch in person?

In most cases, yes. Many of the dealers on Watch Scout have physical boutiques across Sydney, Melbourne, and beyond. When you reach out, ask whether the watch can be viewed in person - most reputable dealers will welcome it for higher-value pieces.

Can I buy a watch from a dealer in a different state?

Yes. Most dealers are experienced with interstate sales and can arrange insured shipping. When discussing a remote purchase, always confirm the shipping method, insurance coverage, and who is responsible if something goes wrong in transit. Never accept a watch shipped uninsured - make sure the policy covers the full purchase value.

What does "Scope" mean?

Scope refers to what comes with the watch. Box & Papers means the original manufacturer's box and warranty card are included. Papers Only means the card is present but no box. Box Only is the reverse. Watch Only means it comes as-is, with no original accessories. Generally, full box and papers will command a premium - and for certain references, they matter significantly to resale value.

What do the condition grades mean?

Condition is graded on a five-point scale from Mint through to Fair. Each grade reflects the level of wear visible on the case, dial, bracelet, and finishing. Use the grade as a starting point, look closely at the listing photographs, and if in doubt - ask the dealer directly.

What does "circa" mean on a year?
